IDF fired towards two Palestinian suspects who threw Molotov cocktails towards Israeli drivers on Highway 60 in Gush Etzion south of Jerusalem on Thursday night. One of them, 16-years-old Amjad Osama Abu Sultan, passed from his injuries, while the other was arrested
KAN noted that a Hamas flag was found at the stand where the cocktails were being prepared.
Hamas, in a statement released Friday morning, said that the incident “must be confronted by activating the resistance in all its forms at all points of engagement with the occupation in the West Bank.”
Elsewhere, in Kalandiya, Border Policeman Oscar Vasilikhin was seriously injured in a car-ramming attack. He was evacuated to the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, KAN reported.
The terrorist was lightly injured when his car crashed into a wall and was arrested. KAN noted that his investigation revealed that he scouted out the location for the attack three days prior.
Following the incident, IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Aviv Kochavi condemned the attack: “Crime against IDF soldiers on the part of civilians is intolerable and requires a quick and strict execution of the law.”
On Tuesday night, a young Palestinian was shot in the leg by security forces in the town of Tammun in the northern West Bank.
