Eldad Perry, a real-estate entrepreneur, was shot dead in Rehovot on Friday morning after exiting a synagogue following a Shacharit prayer, according to Israeli media.
Attempts were unsuccessfully made to save his life following a report received by Israel Police and paramedics were forced to determine his death at the scene of the crime. A man on a motorcycle was waiting for him when he walked out of the synagogue, fired toward him, and fled the scene.
Perry had founded his own real estate company. Over the last year, he encountered some financial difficulties, forcing him to declare bankruptcy. As of June 2021, Perry was in debt for NIS 324 million.

In October, an investigation by KAN showed that when Perry’s company halted operations due to financial difficulties, many clients who invested in the company were left without apartments.
Two dead in two separate shooting incidents in Israel within one hour
Israel Police’s initial suspicion is that the background for the shooting is a scuffle between local criminals.
This is a developing story.
